How AlgoLens reads your upload schedule — and why it's checked alongside upload timing.
This page is AlgoLens's own analysis, not an official statement from YouTube. It's meant to help you read your own channel's numbers.
TL;DR — Upload consistency looks at how regular your upload schedule is — not how often you upload. The more consistent the intervals between uploads, the higher this value reads. AlgoLens pairs it with upload timing (whether uploads tend to land on your stronger days/times) as a combined analysis, since either metric alone can miss the pattern.
Definition
Upload consistency measures how regular your upload schedule is. The more consistent the intervals between uploads, the higher this value.
AlgoLens also uses combined analysis — looking at two different metrics together, such as upload timing and upload consistency, rather than one at a time. It's used to spot patterns that a single metric alone would miss.
How AlgoLens currently reads it
This is AlgoLens's own internal calibration, not an official YouTube rule, and it may be refined over time. Roughly speaking, an upload interval that varies by only about 2 days or so tends to read near the top of this factor, while swings of about two weeks or more tend to read near the bottom. Treat this as a rough sense of how the factor currently reads your pattern, not a guaranteed threshold.
What to do
1
Look at how much your actual upload gaps vary, not just how often you upload — a channel that uploads every 10 days like clockwork can read as more consistent than one that swings between 2 days and 3 weeks.
2
Pair upload consistency with upload timing (whether your uploads tend to land on your stronger days/times) rather than reading either one alone.
3
Treat this as one operational factor among several, not a make-or-break number — it's one input among the channel-operations factors AlgoLens tracks.
Where AlgoLens helps
AlgoLens's Channel Status tab tracks upload-interval regularity from your own upload history and pairs it with upload-timing fit, so you can see both how regular and how well-timed your schedule is together.
